A crack is a term used to refer to compressed or unauthorized software. Cracks are created when someone takes an application’s executable file - the file that contains the images, scripts, and other information required for an application to run on your computer - and converts it so it can be copied without being recognized by the copyright holder. That’s what this tutorial will teach you how to do! First of all, you need access to download Autodesk Maya 2008 (free). Once you have your copy installed on your computer, open up that application's executable file with WinRar. You should then be able to see other files there besides just M8_d1_x86. exe. These are the other files the game needs to function properly, like any other game. After looking at them briefly, left-click on “M8_d1_x86” and select "7z" from the dropdown menu that appears under it. Then, click “Extract” from WinRar’s toolbar and wait for WinRar to finish decompressing M8_d1_x86.exe before you continue with this tutorial. After it is done, you should have a new folder called “autodeskmaya2008-7z” where you installed your M8 Maya software by default. Open that folder up, then open its "bin" folder, then open another folder simply called “autodesk”. This folder should contain an executable file named “M8_d1_x86.exe”. Select this file and copy it to your desktop or somewhere else on your computer you can easily find again. This is where your cracking journey begins! Right-click on M8_d1_x86 .exe and click 'Open with WinHex' (it is listed under .exe) so we can use WinHex to crack this game/simulation/visualization software in the next step of this tutorial. The next step in this tutorial is to download WinHex, which is a tool that allows us to view files in hexadecimal values if needed. It also allows us to edit files relatively easily, but that's not what we're doing here. Check out this link for the latest version of WinHex: Note: The link for WinHex at this time is http://winhex.en.softonic.com/ After downloading and attempting to open WinHex, you may notice a window pop up saying "WinHex has detected it is being used on an OS other than the one for which it was originally designed. Do you want to continue?" Select 'Yes' and close the WinHex window. Then, right-click on your M8_d1_x86.exe file again and select 'Copy'. After that, create a new folder on your desktop called "autodeskmaya2008-7z" as shown in this image: Paste the executable file you copied from your desktop to this newly created folder then open up M8_d1_x86.exe with WinHex. You should now see a list of commands or hexadecimal values for each byte in your M8_d1_x86 . eccc085e13
